In 2002, he received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from ITU, and in 2003 and 2007, he received his Master's and Doctorate degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he worked as a research assistant. He was a consultant at Forell/Elsesser Engineers in San Francisco until 2011, when he joined Enerjisa Üretim as a project engineer. In Enerjisa Üretim, he was a system founder and executive in Engineering, Technical Risk Management, Process and Dam Safety, Environment, Social Management, and Asset Management. Since 2020, he has served as Asset Management and Sustainability Leader.

She received her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from METU in 2009 Afterwards, she worked as Quality Assurance Specialist at Drogsan Pharmaceuticals for 2 years. Between 2011-2019, she worked as Process Safety Chief / Chief Engineer at Tüpraş İzmit Refinery. Since 2019, she has been working as Process Safety Manager at Tüpraş General Directorate. During this period, she completed her education at Koç University Executive MBA programme between 2017-2018 and Liverpool University Risk and Safety Engineering programme between 2019-2022.

She completed her undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Middle East Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering in 1982, 1985 and 1992 Fatma Suna Balcıı, who received the Hacı Ömer Sabancı Foundation Scholarship during her undergraduate education, worked as a research assistant at Middle East Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering between 02.01.1983-1993 Since 01.03.1993, she has been working as a faculty member at Gazi University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering. She has completed 14 projects within the scope of TÜBİTAK, SPO, TAEK Research Projects and 30 projects within the scope of University Research Fund Projects. She has 35 publications in international refereed journals and 8 publications in national journals. She conducted international project refereeing. She gave trainings on Occupational Health and Safety and Process Safety Components at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Labour and Social Security Training and Research Centre and participated in various workshops and seminars on related topics. She is the founder and coordinator of the Process Safety Non-Thesis Master Programme at Gazi University, Department of Chemical Engineering.

He is the Europe, Middle East and Africa Director of PSRG (Process Safety and Reliability Group). Prior to joining PSRG, he held various positions at Weatherford, Chevron and AspenTech. Dr. Tekin Kunt completed a double major in Industrial and Chemical Engineering at Boğaziçi University before obtaining his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
He has been working in the energy field for over 25 years using risk-based chemical engineering and modelling and optimisation techniques. Tekin Kunt, who provides services in risk analysis, inspections and training in various countries of the world, has an American patent regarding chemical sensors. Tekin, who speaks English, French and Turkish, lives in Houston, Texas.
