Opening Speech
The gains that the conference can provide in terms of "Physical Asset Management" and the outputs to be obtained in these two days were
mentioned, stating that Spektrum Akademi, where the conference is held, is designed as a place where information is discovered and shared with
pleasure.
The importance of physical asset management was emphasised, as were developments in the energy sector, particularly since the 1990s,
the effects of these developments on the sector and investments. The four legs of the sector's disruptive transformation, namely digitalisation,
interoperability, decarbonisation, and decentralisation, as well as the change in physical asset management and the expectations arising from
the expectations, were discussed, particularly why sector stakeholders require an information exchange environment on a common platform and
the conference expectations.

Ayhan Özyıldız graduated from Middle East Technical University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He began his professional career in 1995 at Bis Power Plant, where he worked as a Design Engineer between 1995 and 1999, as Plant Manager at Bil Power Plant between 1999 and 2002, and as Assistant Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Operations and Maintenance Manager at Baymina Power Plant between 2002 and 2014 Ayhan Özyıldız was appointed Operations Director at Yeni Elektrik Power Plant in 2014 and later General Manager of Yeni Elektrik. Ayhan Özyıldız joined the TANAP project in 2016 and served as OTL Manager until the end of 2017 He joined Enerjisa Production on 1 February 2018 as Senior Technical Support Manager and has since served as Senior Technical and Commercial Support Manager and Tufanbeyli Power Plant Manager. He was appointed as Thermal Power Plants Director on July 14, 2020, and he is still in that position. Ayhan Özyıldız is married with twin children and enjoys cooking as a hobby.

In 2002, he received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from ITU, and in 2003 and 2007, he received his Master's and Doctorate degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he worked as a research assistant. He was a consultant at Forell/Elsesser Engineers in San Francisco until 2011, when he joined Enerjisa Üretim as a project engineer. In Enerjisa Üretim, he was a system founder and executive in Engineering, Technical Risk Management, Process and Dam Safety, Environment, Social Management, and Asset Management. Since 2020, he has served as Asset Management and Sustainability Leader.
